Our 2023 Summer Hockey Boarding Camps offer each player the opportunity to develop their game to his or her top potential. We pride ourselves in producing a fun, competitive and challenging hockey camp. Throughout the week, each player will be involved with strength training, speed training, balance work, core training, agility training, plyometrics, stretching techniques and much more.

Our Boarding Camps take place in Walpole, MA, with camp at Rodman Arena and accommodations at the Home2 Suites just 1 mile up the road.

FAQs

What should my player bring to summer camp?

A lot of our campers like to bring a case of water/gatorade and snacks for their rooms. Boarders should also bring enough athletic clothing for dryland each day, sneakers, a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and toiletries such as toothbrush and toothpaste. A little extra spending money might come in handy as well for vending machines, skate sharpening, pro shop, etc. Review our Boarding Camp Checklist here.

Are meals included?

Breakfast is served at the hotel, lunch is served at the rink, and dinner will be served either at the rink or the hotel, depending on what the meal is that night.

What are the boarding camp sleeping arrangements?

Located just one mile up the street from Rodman Arena, the new Home2 Suites hosts our camps for the week. Rooms will sleep 3 players per room in 3 double beds. For more hotel information, visit their website.

Can players room with their friends at boarding camps?

We can put 3 players to a room (there are 3 beds). We do our best to accommodate all requests, and 95% of the time requests can be met. Contact us if you have a rooming request so we can make note on your registration.

Who will be supervising the campers at night?

The same qualified staff that works with your children on the ice will attend to their needs at the hotel. This helps our campers and coaches bond off the ice as well as on the ice. At RB Hockey we run Cori/Sori background checks on all of our staff. Our coaches have rooms situated on both sides of our camper rooms at the hotel and are available all night long.

Is skate sharpening available?

Skate sharpening is available each morning of summer camps from 8-9am for $6 in the CCM Zone Pro Shop. It is available during all weekly evening skills programs as well.

Do you have camps just for female hockey players?

Yes! While female hockey players are welcome at all of our programs we do offer a women’s and girl’s only summer camp week every year. The drills we use are set up so that each student is pushed to their full potential by the coaches and not by just competing with other players. Coaches stress a strong work effort from each player involved.

Which airport is closest and is there transportation available?

Both the Logan Airport in Boston and the TF Green Airport in Rhode Island are about the same length of trip. We do not offer a shuttle, however if arranged ahead of time we can schedule a coach pick up for $75. Contact us if you are in need of this option.

What To Expect

Offered weeks of Aug 1st & Aug 8th

Boarding Campers should arrive to Rodman Arena Sunday evening at 4pm for check-in. Campers will go on-ice for a skate before having dinner. They will be transported to the hotel afterwards.

Monday through Thursday we will skate 4-5 hours a day with approximately 1 hour of chalk talk. Camp will close with 2 hours of ice-time Friday morning.

Each evening campers are given opportunities to form lasting friendships with fellow campers. Evening activities include trips to Patriot Place and Legacy Place (shopping, dining, & entertainment complex nearby), as well as outdoor games such as Kan-Jam and Ladder Ball, s’mores, movie night, pizza party, mini golf, and/or various other similar activities.

Players should be picked up Friday morning at 10am.
