Nic Cota
Following the injury, Nic began his coaching career at Portland High School in Maine, where he coached for two seasons as Assistant Coach in 2016 and 2017.
In 2018, Nic relocated to Parkland, FL to became Head Coach for the Florida Panthers U16 team, as well as Player Development Coach for the 16 team organization.
From 2019-22, Nic served as USPHL Premier Head Coach for the New Hampshire Monarchs, as well as Youth Hockey Director for the program during the 2021-22 season. As Head coach in the USPHL, Nic helped advance 24 players to the NCAA level.
For the 2022-2023 season Nic returned to the Express as Head Coach of the Eastern Hockey League junior team. During just his first season with the Express, Cota’s group won the regular season Division Championship after going 18-2-1 after the Christmas break. Nic helped 10 players commit to NCAA schools this season, with more to come.
